After a bachelor in Political Science completed at the University of Bucharest, Cristian completed a master degree at Central European University (CEU) from Budapest and specialized in EU policy and administration at Maastricht University. Cristian worked for 2 years in the field of EU affairs in Brussels and then as a PhD researcher at the Loughborough University. In 2017 he completed his PhD in administrative capacity and the influence of politics on EU management funds in Central and Eastern Europe (including case studies on Romania and Bulgaria).  Since 2015 he works as associated researcher at the European Policies Research Centre (EPRC), University of Strathclyde din Glasgow, Scotland. In the past years he published academic articles in famous journals such as Regional Studies and East European Politics. He also edited a volume, together with Dorina Baltag and Dimitris Papadimitriou in which he examines the relationship between EU and the Eastern Europe member states. Cristian is interested in the advantages and performance of Romania’s accession to the EU, bringing thus a critical and academic perspectiv in discussing these elements.
